Special MotionStar Wireless
Price Reduction During SIGGRAPH

Ascension Technology Corporation
today announced special pricing
on MotionStar Wireless®
motion tracking packages to
be available during SIGGRAPH
2003. Savings of almost $10,000
for a single performer and
significantly higher for multi-performer
systems are available.
The specially-priced packages
includes 13 sensors, two Extended
Range Transmitters, a sensor
mounting kit for quick attachment
of sensors to performers,
and the use of an Ascension
Environmental Analyzer Tool
Kit at no charge. Packages
are priced according to the
number of performers with
systems configured for one
to five performers. Ascension
is offering free shipping
within the United States and
free installation anywhere
in North America. Reduced
rates for international installations
will also be available during
the limited time the show
special is in effect.
Ascension will present 3-performer
motion capture demonstrations
of MotionStar Wireless on
stage in Booth 2528 at the
show. On screen in the booth,
Ascension’s ReActor 2™ active-optical
tracker will be featured.
MotionStar Wireless is the
one tracker capable of capturing
the real-time motions of five
performers without any occlusion.
A six-degrees-of-freedom magnetic
tracker, MotionStar Wireless
now has improved algorithms
presenting higher quality
data. The system’s ability
to track 78 dedicated data
points—13 sensors measuring
X, Y, Z, roll, pitch and yaw—exceeds
that of the average optical
system.

of five performers for Sony
Computer Entertainment’s The
Getaway, MotionStar Wireless
has maintained its position
in the forefront of the motion
