Animation Landmark: Real-time, 5 Performer Motion Capture
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Ascension have set a new standard for motion capture: Production for the forthcoming Playstation 2 game The Getaway was the first ever to use 5 motion capture performers at once, in real time. Ascension Trackers are Out of This World!
The Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics at MIT in Boston use the Flock of Birds and MotionStar to collect motion data in a NASA Space Suit. The sensors are mounted on the suit to track the motion and rotation of an astronaut while performing simulations of tasks faced in space. These tests evaluate the flexibility of the space suit joints and connections.
